Have you ever partaken in a 'clean out the clutter' event?
For example, organizing your office, apartment or garage.
What is the point of keeping items that only collect dust?
The same 'clean out the clutter event' can be done inside
the vast confines of your mind. Why would you want to do this?
In a word, clarity.
mt is based on a concept
called dis-stress which revolves around the notion of perceptual
influence.
For example the actual word distress implies a state of chaos
or uneasiness. Yet a subtle separation of the word into 2
parts, dis and stress, to create dis-stress alters the mood.
The actual meaning of the suffix dis is negation. Hence, dis-stress
is negation of stress or ....free from stress. The separation
of the word distress and the disengagement of one from the
perception of stress are powerful tools in transforming the
moment into one that is serene.
What if stress is a figment of your imagination?
If we create stress in our lives how can we create serenity?
What if less stress is not possible but the ability to lessen
the effects of the current stress is?
The body is equipped with a stress reaction
known as the 'flight or fight' response. Did you know that
the body is also equipped with a relaxation response? And
how would you evoke it?
The ability to internalize your locus of control?
To affect the change you want in your life immediately?
To initiate action, even if only in small increments?
The potential for greater clarity in personal issues accompanied
by a sense of peace and security?
The fruits of self-assertion in comfortably setting one's
boundaries of engagement?
